I hope you’re all excited for this years MiniCon, this is expected to our largest yet.
We have 32 seats for the Pokémon Tournament, we will begin registration Saturday Morning at 9am, when the Con opens, Tournament starts at 10am. For those not familiar, this free tournament is a sealed deck tourney, not to be opened until play begins, as you advance you’ll receive additional booster packs to be added to your decks. Although there are medals and prize packs for 1st and 2nd place, everyone participating goes home with at least a brand new deck.
The Kids Marathon Costume Contest registration will also begin at 9am, when the con opens. Entry is $1, all kids will receive a number, these can be placed on the front and back of the costume or made into a sign, that they will hold up. Throughout the day if you see a costume you like come over to the club table, and vote for that number. At the end of the day the costume with the most votes win, there will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals with prize packs, and a Judges favorite from the Cosplay Closet.
We will have emergency vehicles, a food truck, and movie cars in the front.
The Girl Scouts will also be there for everyone with their usual breakfast pastries, coffee, and hot coco.
We are introducing a swap this year, with some of the largest FB collector groups including comics, toys, and games, the swap will run from Noon-1:30pm.
